Early onset adult deafness (EOAD) - Beauceron

Non-syndromic deafness is a type of hearing loss that occurs in the absence of other physical abnormalities or medical conditions. Clinical signs of affected puppies are deafness assessed by abnormal behaviour or by BAER (brainstem auditory evoked response) examinations. Apart from hearing loss, the puppies grow normally and show no other symptoms. The disease can affect one or both ears and can be mild, moderate or severe.
